Okay, I’m gonna keep this kinda brief and move on.

Ben Riggs got the lowdown and funky on the release dates for the stuff Wizards of The Coast D&D Releases

I don’t care about any of them but maybe you will, I dunno, mileage varies here so here goes.

Vecna: Eve of Ruin, which should have been written, illustrated and released to coincide with Stranger Things Season 4, is coming in May of this year. Yay. Whatever.

Quests From The Infinite Staircase, an adventure anthology, is coming in July. Again, whatever.

The burning question on my mind and the minds of others…are these for 5th Edition or will they be virtually unplayable until 6th Edition comes? Let’s face facts, that’s what it is, a 6th Edition that I pretty much don’t expect will do well at all.

There is one book releasing in June and it’s the only book that mildly interests me to the point where I’ll wait for reviews. If it’s any good, it will be my coffee table tome and a conversation piece and that’s about it. If the reviews are people commenting on “Oh Mah Gawd! How Is This Even Playable!!!” then I’m not gonna bother with it…unless we run into a toilet paper shortage again and it’s this one.

Like I said, don’t know, don’t really care too much. Shit’s coming in June so mark your calendars, don’t, whatever.

In other news, according to Sean McCoy, there’s been yet another delay on your Mothership Box Sets (which I only recently found out were a thing) and apparently it’s like the 10th in a series of delays but take heart, U.S. and Canada…shouldn’t take any longer than fucking April to get your boxes. Meanwhile the PDF for the core of that thing is still free and the print zine style book is only $15. My take, save your money and make it a PDF-only game. Look I know logistics is a nightmare but I haven’t seen that with other companies. Sean, next time, talk with Kelsey Dionne, she really had that badboy together with Shadowdark. Just sayin’

Now, onto the stuff I DO care about. Immensely.

Troll Lord Games’ Castles & Crusades First Printing Reprint is coming in April and is currently available for pre-order right now. $45 gets you the book itself when it drops and the PDF which comes in Celebration of TLG’s 20th Anniversary. Now you get to see what it was like when it first came out. I’ve said that all printings were compatible both backwards and forwards well guess what? It’s a functioning game book too. Unlike that History of D&D, this is one I actually do care about because it’s history of a company that has, for 20 years, valued their customers. It even works with the current Castle Keeper’s Guide and Monsters & Treasure book. Why would you not? Look at that stylish-ass cover, it’s gorgeous. You know I’m grabbing a copy. Why don’t you?
