A Confession.

It’s time I came out and say it.

I thought you should all hear it from me before it got out, I really want to get ahead of this thing.

I promise you that what I have to say, I do have receipts and I need all of you reading this right now to hear me out before anything else.

I have an OnlyCrits account. There, I said it.

They contacted me. They knew all the right things to say. They called me an influencer, said I was just what they were looking for, of course, I signed up, what could I do? They said there were free dice sets in it for me. I couldn’t say no to that.

That inner dice goblin in my head…he’s insatiable! The addiction was crippling. Again…what could I do?

They offered me affiliation and I took it. I took it, you hear me? Then they did the unthinkable…they approved me! They even let me come up with my own code for you to use at checkout. I couldn’t say no. I couldn’t pass it up.

It’s not just that…I know their dice are good. They’re so smooth and shiny. These are not just any old math rocks…some of them are metal and they roll with authority. When they hit that dice tray, there’s a nice, heavy thunk that reverberates even over something like player conversations. It all stops…when they hear you randomly rolling.

I know this because I bought their Bob World Builder dice a couple years ago…and I’ve used them.

For the sadists in the crowd, there are also very pointy sharp-edge dice, they have those too.

All joking aside, nearly every word I spoke is true. I have had people asking me how they could help both this space and Against All Odds, some have even encouraged me to monetize my writing but I don’t know, I just don’t feel right about charging YOU to read the crap that rolls off my brain (sometimes with dice rolling) but I get it, some of you out there feel it might be worth something to you. That’s cool but I still don’t like the idea of putting the stories and articles you’re accustomed to reading behind a paywall.
