Ladies And Gentlemen, I’ve sent each and every one of you an invitation to join and read the Against All Odds Substack
What is Against All Odds? Well the answer to that is simple. I love playing solo RPGs at times. It’s a means of unplugging and generally just getting away from all the suck that the world has to offer at times and I don’t know enough people to call for a pickup game in the park. So, with the limited time I have free at times (or when others haven’t planned my days off for me for some fuckin’ reason) I like to break out one of my books and some paper, pencil and sometimes a battle mat and miniatures like the one you see here. I’ll randomly roll stuff out and roll with whatever the table or my Fate Mill Die will give me.
After I’m done with the game itself, I like to come online and post the battle report in story form for you. Are these going to be high art? No. I won’t pretend they are by any stretch. If you enjoy those types of stories though, I encourage you to give them a read and let me know what kinds of other stories and genres you’d be interested in seeing. At present, I’m plotting my next solo game of Hostile and a spy thriller called No Day To Die.
At present, the stories you see will come from games like Call of Cthulhu, Four Against Darkness, Thousand Year Old Vampire and We Deal In Lead. I’m currently migrating everything over from the blogger dot com version. I don’t know that I’m going to keep supporting that version but I know for certain that I’ll be keeping up the Against All Odds Substack whenever I play a game because I love telling those stories.
In any case, I’m not going to take up too much of your time. I hope you read and enjoy what you’re reading and, if you do, share your thoughts and comments and maybe share it with a friend who’s as into RPGs as you and I are.
Thanks.
