It’s at the point of this post that I’m officially done with Jon Del Arroz. I called out his embarrassing actions in this video entitled Creating Conflict back in July when he attacked Andrew from The Rippaverse and lied about something that was clearly posted, namely this…

At the time, not only was I backing The Hidden Emperor, I was pushing it pretty hard. We’ve since learned that JDA is banned from Kickstarter and he’s at a loss as to why.

Well during this thread that’s in the photo above, if you go back to Andrew’s post, you’ll see JDA insisting that Andrew was trying to gatekeep anyone save for people who don’t read comics and are not actual fans. They don’t care about comics, only their message that they insert like every comic is auditioning and they’re Harvey Weinstein.

Needless to say, I posted a lot less and sat on the sidelines and just watched in terms of the Kickstarter. Now JDA has The Emerald Array up on another site and…I was tempted until that post showed up. I didn’t back it. I won’t. The adventures with Ayla Rin for me, a character that I do love, end for me with the Kickstarter rewards for The Hidden Emperor and Into The Black, the novel that follows up with the comic.

What made it embarrassing was the way he went after Andrew only to then shill his kickstarter. It wouldn’t have been bad if he’d gone into my pinned tweet and popped it in there. I wouldn’t have minded. It wouldn’t have been bad if he got permission from Eric July or Andrew to pop in and say, “Hey everyone, got permission to post this here. If you like Rippaverse, check this out, you may enjoy this as well.”

It certainly would have worked but he didn’t. He rage-baited and grifted right then and there. If I had to guess why he got bounced from Kickstarter, it was because someone reported that rage-baiting he was doing. Honestly, that’s just my guess, I really don’t know for certain.

But it was at that moment where I started having to listen carefully to what he said. In a video about Dungeons & Dragons going woke, he claimed that the people during The Satanic Panic were right.

Then there’s this tweet that kicks off everything.

Recently, JDA has been singing the praises of The Rippaverse, as though none of us have any memory. Yeah…if you can’t beat them, amirite?

He went on a tear at Madam Savvy, claiming she was cancelling him when, in reality and what played out in front of our very eyes was that she disagreed on his idiotic take when it came to a video game which I can’t recall the name of ATM.

He proceeded to harass her with the “Just Say The Line” ploy and when that didn’t work, he shilled his product again.

JDA is demonstrably and clearly doing just what he accused Andrew of doing back in July. He’s coming up with shit takes, when called out, he doubles down and plays the victim. He’s a crybully wearing a different T-shirt but the tweet from yesterday is where I stop trying anything resembling reason with him. I have unsubbed from both the Fandom Pulse substack as well as his YouTube channel and I no longer follow him on Twitter.

It wasn’t just me trying to stop his shitty behavior, another friend of mine stepped in and was far more gracious and merciful than I was and it …well, it did nothing at all. The moronic posts just keep coming.

I know, sooner or later, he’s going to claim that I’m out here cancelling him and that simply isn’t true. I’m letting you know that you won’t see reviews on The Hidden Emperor, Into The Black or anything else that comes down the pipe here. I have essentially cut ties and walked away.

I’m done with him. I’m not going to bother with him anymore. Same as I’ve done with anyone else who’s ever acted like this, Wallet Closed. My decision and my decision only.

As for you, dear reader, your choice. If you like his work and wanna buy it, you’re not gonna get any shit from me over it. I don’t make your buying decisions and I never will, thank goodness. Choice is always gonna be yours to make.

Personally, the money I would have spent on The Emerald Array went to Bloodruth #1 and I know, I still owe some of you a review of Goodyng: The Polymath (Spoiler: It’s better than it has any business being so pick that one up) and after that it’s on to Horseman, Yaira’s second issue and so on and so forth.

I suppose I should tell you that I’ve been sitting on the digital rewards for over a month or so. When I got the physical rewards in, well…

They both went into a drawer. The comic was magazine-sized and the novel, well I just didn’t have any space on my shelf. They went into a drawer and there they’ve sat until I either have the time to read them or decide to make the time to read them. When I do, no one will know how much or how little I enjoy them but I did pay for them so that’s my call entirely.

Ultimately, if there’s a new Satanic Panic to be had, well, not to worry. I’ve prepared accordingly. I really can’t run much these days due to injuries suffered during the OG Panic so running? Eh, Duty To Retreat, Be Straight-Up Damned, if my choices are going home, to jail, the hospital or the morgue, best goddamn believe the morgue or the hospital is out. If I’m about to kickstart a criminal career, know that I will absolutely make it worth the time I’m about to do if someone comes for me. My mind’s made up on that, Hail Odin…take that as you will.

For someone who claims to be Christian, he has ultimately missed a very crucial point and this is where I meet him where he is, theologically-speaking.
