Something To Mention About A Previous Article
My previous article Bad Take, Bob has garnered some attention, however, I may or may not have mentioned a detail regarding Elon Musk.
The point that I was attempting to make, comes from this and I’ll quote it here…

My Response: Inserted himself, you say? Bob, I think you have this wrong. His son, Xavier was transitioned without his consent, permission or approval. His son then killed himself because of it. Inserted himself? I’d say he was perfectly happy to be left to his own devices until this ideology came for him. Again, you don’t have your facts in order. Put yourself in his shoes for a second. If that’s your child and this happens to him or her, whatever the case may be and you had the means to do something to ensure it never happened to any parent ever again, are you just gonna stand by on the sidelines and just let it happen? I would hope not.
It seems I was wrong. His child is still very much alive. My source on the previous statement was from an interview Elon Musk himself gave but the oversight was on my part. In fact, here’s the interview.
It’s a heartbreaking story, one I really don’t like hearing but here are the facts:
Musk’s child is still alive, thank goodness for that much
The “dead” he was referring to was that it’s a dead identity.
These are the things I got completely wrong. A couple of people were gracious enough to point that out to me, cite sources and, even though the details are a touch muddy, because parts of that story depend on who you believe, I really wanted to stick with the facts on this one.
The point that I was trying to make was that this toxic Identity politics did, in fact strike home for Musk, a point that still stands but I don’t want that muddied by misinformation, which, the details were. I won’t lie or offer excuses there. That’s what happened and I thought it necessary to clarify that here.
My apologies to both you, my readers and Elon Musk (I’m not sure if he read it) for that. I’m going to go back and make a note of it in the original article but I won’t take the mistake down. It happened and the internet never forgets anyway. That being said, I will edit only to include a link here to let you know what happened.
