A Slight Change In Tactics

That’s right, everyone, I’m here to make an announcement that pertains to this space. From this day forward, all of my “ministry moment” type posts have a new home in The Grove of Odin.
I’ve sent out official invitations to all of you to subscribe and read them or even watch them.
There’s a story behind this and I came here to tell it.
I was part of another Norse/Germanic organization at one point. They had a path to ordination and it would take a year and a day before I’d be able to actively participate. I began reading anyway…whatever I could, wherever I could.
It was during a virtual meeting/festival where I got to see some things and stopped reading. No reasoned approaches were welcome. I still have emails that I go back, look through and, on no less than four occasions, I saw the phrase kicking off the entire email “That’s Not Enough!”
After the fourth time, I’d asked to be removed from the roster. I haven’t looked back.
Before my time with them, there was another group I’d joined and I sat back and observed. I’d found them through Minds, a social media site. I’d sat back and watched for awhile, then participated a little and eventually, began posting my readings. Before I knew it, I was asked to step into office as Vitki or, Shaman to the layman.
I was being put into a position of trust with a group that was in it’s formative state. Naturally, I accepted. Though a recognized group had an agenda and was all-in on it, I just didn’t feel welcome there. Tribe of The Greyhorn Pagans actually felt like home.
Then…the turning point happened. This very podcast.
This happened a year ago. I remember listening to it as I walked around. I remember thinking that I agreed but I don’t trust government. Never have and, most likely, never will.
Then, our tribal Thane, began taking the ideas discussed on that podcast into the Tribe’s chat itself. He made a strong case for The Tribe becoming legally-recognized. Doors would open, there were benefits that we could enjoy. One year later, that’s exactly what has occurred.
We’re now legally-recognized as a religious organization.
Right now, we’re looking at our next steps into our future and we’d love for you to come along, if you’re so inclined.
Personally, I try to keep my messages more grounded and universal and, if that’s something you’re interested in seeing, then hop on over and check it out. We’ll provide updates on how things are going with us and, the best part, you get to take that journey with us. Do you have to believe as we do? No, but we’d still love to have you.
I hope to see you there.
