Why They’ll Never Work.

I’m here to disappoint some of you, piss others off, make some of you angry. That’s really it. Some of you are so far up into your feelings right now that that’s all that makes sense to you.
So what does this have to do with the man being pictured? Easy. The attempt on his life and the subsequent actions taken by the USSS have looked like The Keystone Kops sped up to Benny Hill’s theme song. It’s the easiest thing in the world to condemn the actions of a human sack of fertilizer and I do.
The purity tests have begun. People all up in their feelings have made statements like this

I’ve even seen sentiments that say that I’m somehow engaging in tacit condoning of the violence when there’s a clear record that I’m not.
The message is now clear. If You’re Not With Us, You’re Against Us.
Well that’s worked out so well for The Church, The Idiot Child’s Administration, The Obama Administration, This base, that base, on…and on…and on…ad naseum, ad infinitum. To that, I say, “Okay.”
Now you have a choice. I want you to stop and take a breath for just a moment. If I can do it, and have, so can you.
I’ve detailed exactly what happens when, not if, this escalates. Clearly there are people that haven’t read it, haven’t considered it, won’t and now they’re completely up in their feelings.
I’m not going to explain myself any further. If you agree with those sentiments of us being impure because we’re actually thinking of the innocent people that you’ll catch in the crossfire, you have one of two options. You either accept the fact that your ultimatums won’t work and that’s a warning not to throw them anymore. Second option, walk away but, be forewarned, I didn’t throw any ultimatums, I just put that ball in your court and, should you choose to walk away, that’s permanent.
No, I do not support getting an elderly lady fired from her job. If Home Depot finds it and then talks to her about it on their own, the decision is theirs what to do about it. It’s also a touchy subject because now, how far are we willing to go to allow a business to dictate what someone does on their personal time?
When it comes to state jobs, the activists there have a choice, teach or find a different job where they’re allowed their activism.
Remember when I said that Schools Should Not Be Indoctrination Centers? This is exactly why. Education and teaching of skills should have taken center stage but it’s been falling farther and farther behind. Replacing ideology with ideology doesn’t work and it never has.
I honestly think this “Shoot First, Ask Questions Later” approach only works in home defense, not for national policy.
The time to hold them to their own rules was when the rules were established. It wasn’t even a set of rules. These policies have largely failed and the failure becomes more evident each day but you want to keep pushing?
We keep pointing fingers at cops who use excessive force, we also let the legal system deal with them. Why aren’t we using the same approach for this? No, we’re now going to form a mob (count me out of this one too) and we’re going a-huntin’. Everyone else, be damned.
Isn’t it interesting though that, I was hounded, harassed, beaten, etc for 15 years by people who thought they were doing “The Lord’s Work” with me and maybe a day ago, I put a video up of a Christian man telling you why our hobby is so important?
By virtue of the logic (if you can call it that) that has been presented, shouldn’t I be downvoting his every video, constantly making fun of his religion in the comments section? Should I make someone’s Christian persuasion a reason to never work with them, help them or sit a gaming table and play with them? What’s the proper response here? Remember that, today I’m carrying scars and waking up with joint problems, coming home in pain some days that I really don’t like talking about. Some of the lingering effects of these past injuries do haunt me to this day.
So what’s the proper response here? Because several idiots in a pickup truck one night decided that trashy daytime TV Talk shows and the widespread propaganda about my entertainment preferences led them to believe I was a thing of purest evil, and acted on it, cheered it on even…should I go around finding Christians and getting them fired, ruining their lives? Seriously, I’d like to know.
I don’t know what you choose but I know what I have chosen. I chose to do all the things I enjoy that they’re too scared to do in some pockets.
By the way, visiting my hometown last year, I learned something.
There’s a gaming store there now. Right next to where I used to go to the chiropractor and at the end of the block, right across the street is a Sheriff’s Substation. That shop is in probably one of the safest spots in town. The “crusaders” these days have been reduced to taking pot shots over the store’s Facebook and they’re easily repelled by a simple copy and paste message.
I don’t claim involvement in that victory but damned right I’ll celebrate it as a win. They failed to stop me.
Just like they failed to stop you. Oh they had their little victories, yeah. Remember Grim Jim and James Raggi IV? Wrote an entire series of articles on the DungeonGate scandal that broke. None of us went after anyone. They were just exposed. It infuriated me then that they were going to get away with it. Though the damage was done, the mission critically failed.
Again, Jacob’s Question comes to mind. Are you such losers that you can’t tell when you’ve won?
I’m going to concede after some thought that if there’s a teacher saying stuff like “You had one job” or “It’s such a shame the shooter missed” then that needs to be addressed with the school board, however, I want you to carefully consider what it is you’re asking. I’ll never condone showing up to someone’s entry-level job and harassing them. If it happens online, carefully, rationally, logically, take care of it online. When it comes to schools, I think the most effective thing is to take your kids out of those schools and begin homeschooling if you’re able.
My point is this. We’ve won without ever having to use their tactics. I’m not going to say that a tactic is wrong and then suddenly change my mind once I have the power to use it. I’m well-aware these people are just complete pits of sewage set to boil. I’m not denying that. I’ve had people make terroristic threats at me off and on for thirty years. Very few have ever attempted to make good on those threats. I don’t need to get a co-worker fired or someone else fired.
Spin it however you want but I live in the real world and in the days since Saturday, I’ve heard maybe three people express those absolutely crappy sentiments. Three.
They’re in the minority now. They’re completely stupid. Let the legal system handle terroristic threats they make online. Failing that, let their employers find out on their own. The type of actions currently being called for should only be employed if you’re being directly threatened and, most importantly, as a last resort.
If corrections taught me anything it was never use force unless you absolutely must and then, if you must, do what you have to do to neutralize the situation. That’s it.
Now, if someone shows up to your door with bad intentions or accosts you personally, well then I will not stand in your way if you use them to make someone in your life say something like “I watched him take out three people with a pencil…a fucking pencil!”
I want to speak to the radical left for a moment. Yes, my opinion of you is low but you have to understand something. The things you did, the things people are saying you did, that is not without merit.
While I do and can appreciate the sentiment that these terroristic threats are a different breed of speech, this is what I have to say.
If you want things to cool down, shut up. If you want to criticize policy based on facts, fine. If you just think someone is the absolute worst because they won’t vote with you, that’s fine too, none of us care what you think of us. If you want this all to stop, you want the heat turned down? I can help and just this once, I’m willing to help you absolutely free, despite some of the things you’ve called me, tried to do to me (and failed super hard) or managed to successfully do to me (I’m still here, I’m not going away) I’m still willing to help you.
Those who want rules applied to them, this is how it’s done.
First, you’re going to have to apologize and admit you were wrong. Publicly. You have to denounce the violence you’ve committed and supported. You have to admit that you were wrong in calling us every instance of “-ist” and “-phobe” and even “Nazi.”
Second, it’s gonna have to come from the heart. Yep, you’re going to have to mean that apology and you’ll have to understand where some won’t accept it.
Third, vote however you want, it’s fine. Wear whatever political t-shirt you want, it’s fine but you do not get to dictate how anyone else votes and you have to be willing to openly and publicly say that you’re willing to walk away from these tactics today and never revisit them ever again.
If your first reaction is to recoil and say “No Way!” remember, you want something, you’re outnumbered and there are people out here screaming for your jobs and your lives to be in ruins. You’ve spent time and energy for the last sixteen years exiling us for so much as a disagreement. That’s why we’re here now. Which one’s more important to you? Your pride or your entire way of life? You only get to pick one so make a good decision. If you love struggle sessions so much, well, now you get to take part in one. Unlike you, we at least are offering a path to something resembling redemption.
If you don’t, then understand that when I suddenly go dark it’s because I’m getting me and mine to where we will be able to ride this out. I won’t defend you and I won’t make any more attempts to appeal to either “side.” My plan is in place and I’ve had it at the ready for quite some time.
I hope I never have to put that into action. Like everything I’ve talked about before, it’s a last resort.
Sides do not interest me and they won’t. Should a side come for me when I’ve made it clear I want to be left alone then both sides will find themselves in a very very bad position.
So, in the interest of being consistent here…
Cancel Culture is not culture, it’s a cult. I still stand by that
We have never needed these tactics, still don’t. All they do is foment more resentment
It solves nothing.
We’ve been saying we’re the better people only to throw that away.
We will all regret not taking the Cancel Bomb and destroying it when we had the chance
I have failed, am failing and will fail any and all purity tests. Let’s call them what they are, ultimatums. If the Church, The Left, The Right, The Center, whatever loses every time they throw an ultimatum, what makes you think you can use it with some success.
Be very very very careful of making an enemy of me. You don’t want that but if you insist, you’ll get so much more than you could have ever bargained for.
Being a minister comes with some responsibility. Sometimes it means doing the right thing even when the right thing isn’t popular.
