Let's Talk About Yesterday…

Yeah I know. This is everywhere you look. By now, we’ve been told the shooter’s name, we’ve been flooded with a few different photos claiming that he was some far-left Antifa type that got arrested but the fact seems to be that he wasn’t arrested, he was killed by a countersniper. The entire mediasphere is abuzz with stuff I’m not going to belabor here. That photo up above is crazy. You can see the projectile flying. Whoever took this photo, probably didn’t even know what they’d captured when the shutter clicked. It’s a one in a million type of photo forever preserved on our phones, computers, tweets, etc for posterity for many many years to come.

Then there’s this photo of Trump screaming at us as these agents try (note I said try) to run him off stage and keep him down to avoid any more potential shots coming his way. I personally think the image is evocative and another great capture.

I won’t bore you with how people saw something, said something and were flat ignored. I won’t go on and on about how The White House continued to try to strip him of his Secret Service protections time and again.

Instead, I just want to talk about something that I don’t think many are talking about. Many right now are actively blaming Trump in a move that reeks of “Do you see what you made us do?!” It’s sickening. Meanwhile, after a few years of telling us that speech has consequences…no one wants to address this at all.

This was quoted from a call with his donors.

To me, the “bullseye” would be the Oval Office and I don’t mean that we should be firing weapons upon it. It would mean putting Trump back in it.

I don’t see this as something to jump all over, but I do understand where some would see even this as violent speech.

Problem, and here we go with the anti-gun crowd again, if Biden had slipped one more word, it would have been perfect. If he’d used the word crosshairs, then the case against that quote would have been more solid than anything ever said. I still think it’s inciteful speech and should be investigated thoroughly but we know how that’s going to turn out.

What we know for certain is someone attempted to assassinate Trump, missed, getting only his earlobe and Trump decided, in my opinion, foolishly, to stand again after Secret Service was all over him.

I’m glad he’s okay, relatively speaking. I’d have been happier had something like that never been attempted. I think the left’s seething animosity toward anyone who would live free and without their permission and those actively representing those people is what is to blame for this. For years, it’s been, demonstrably, violent rhetoric and dehumanizing language aimed at anyone who disagreed with them to the point where, if they couldn’t ruin your life, they’d engage in extremely dangerous tactics to have actually innocent people killed via SWATing. They have beaten people, they have burned cities, looted and they think this is fine. Their violence has been all on record.

The one thing no one is talking about is that, had the situation been in the reverse, you’d best believe they’d be screaming for anyone who so much as liked a tweet sent by Trump to be rounded up, locked in camps and possibly worked, starved and gassed to death.

Let me be clear in this missive, if the same happened to Biden my first two questions would be the same as well “Is he okay? What happened to the shooter?”

I still would not have been happy about that.

I think the result would still be the same. Someone actually got shot and killed in the incident. In fact, his name was Corey Comperatore, he was a firefighter and now a husband, father and public servant is gone and his family feels that loss in a massive, massive way.

His family has a GoFundMe and I think they could use our help. Something tells me that an embattled Trump will probably be paying a personal visit to the family if not bringing them to him in order to offer his condolences. I know he has already online.

In any case, I still don’t support gun control legislation. I’ll never advocate the destruction and elimination of civil liberties because of a terrorist who is now dead.

Instead, I think it needs to be said that, to cheer the actions of a terrorist from the sidelines, to say “You Had One Job” at anyone other than The Secret Service, to celebrate the terrorist as a “good guy” is ghoulish and the lack of condemnation of an assassination attempt on American Soil is not only nightmarishly despicable, it’s morally wrong no matter what your religion may be.

Some of you need to understand that a single millimeter to the right would have indeed, in my opinion sparked a Civil War. Some of you may be looking for that but I warn every single one of you reading this right now, with no hyperbole, that is not at all something you actually want.

For the entirety of this nation to become a war zone would make it unrecognizeable. It would also turn into a potential world war with some nations backing us and other taking the opportunity to seize what’s left when…or if it ends. The whole of America would be so completely paranoid that innocent people would be killed. No man, woman or child would be immune. It wouldn’t just be from people shooting or bombing but the starvation, lack of resources and the complete decimation of our infrastructure.

Some of you don’t have any idea what that looks like but I can tell you this much. Many of us here in the U.S. are creatures of comfort and habit. Let me tell you. Wake up one morning to no AC, no internet, you can’t go get your morning cup of coffee from your favorite spot because it’s either a busted shell of a building with most everything inside destroyed or there’s just no supplies coming in. You can’t bring up Netflix. Your cellphone doesn’t seem to have coverage anymore. You spend nights hunkered down in your dark apartment or home, up all night, hoping and praying that you don’t hear voices or footsteps outside because there are no police or firefighters. Hell that coffee spot that you love, probably shut down. Mail services will be interrupted, communications are all on halt. Packing a few things into a backpack will mean even more hardship as you try to move around without being spotted or getting killed. Every new person in your life is a potential threat or infiltrator and sometimes, you figure that out entirely too late. Let’s not get into your medication needs. If you’re diabetic, you’re supremely fucked because the pharmacies have been looted and if you think your dollars are any good, you’re in for a terrible surprise. If you have any vices, at this point, they’ll just get you killed.

And each and every time, it doesn’t matter who is behind the Resolute Desk, this is the kind of nightmare scenario you can come to expect. The collapse would be great and terrible and there would be nothing you could do to abate it. Like I said before, you may not die of being shot or bombed but simply because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Drinking the wrong water or eating the wrong food out of desperation can get you killed. An infected cut can kill you. Have a chronic condition? Medication that will keep you somewhat level and functional? Yep, two more things to consider and, obviously I can’t go down the list because it’s too long but all of this and more are things you need to consider should some attempt like this be successful ever.

Some of you out there are angry. So am I. The fact that some dipshit would try this is staggering to me and shows me just the level of true hatred and intolerance this group of people have devolved to. The description of that nightmare scenario, that’s where it leads.

It’s why I’m hoping that many of you will take a breath and not fly straight to the bullet box. I know one thing, this action has ensured Trump’s got more votes now than ever. I would say the masks have slipped but at this point, they’re clean off and cast aside. I advocate everyone get armed, get trained and get stocked up when and where you can. Have a plan. Have a bugout location and bugout bags ready. Have people you trust with your life around. Keep those circles small. Have an I.N.C.H. (I’m Never Coming Home) bag at the ready as well.

The difference here is that I’m not saying it’s time we hunt them all down in the streets, that’s not what I’m saying at all. I’m saying defend with the absolute ferocity of a rabid wolf that which is yours. Get that mindset ready but keep calm. Stay focused.

I’m not going to tell you who to vote for but vote, nonetheless. I am. I know I stated before that I’m checking out but that doesn’t do anything. Right now, more than ever, I’m looking at the candidates. All of them. Biden’s out for me, I don’t think he’s right for the job. His dismal track record speaks for itself to me. In the days and months ahead, I’ll be peeking through all of them, applying The Bill of Rights to each and every one of them. If they oppose just one of those first ten amendments, they’re disqualified for me. The internet makes that easier than ever for me.

Thanks for reading, everyone. Wish I had a really good way to wrap this up but there isn’t one. That’s also why there’s not a witty subtitle for this one. Wish there were.
